For lower production rates, CMP manufactures a batch chiller for various shellfish products including lobster and crab. The unit features a side tank with refrigeration coil and circulation for cooling of the water or brine. Product is typically loaded into pans which are stacked into a custom stainless steel carrier that is lowered into the chiller for the desired chill time. Multiple units can be installed in line and a common gantry system is used for the winch mechanism.
