Atlantic Business Magazine names CMP President one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs Two Years in a Row
Charlottetown, PEI – Charlottetown Metal Products Ltd President Trevor Spinney has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs for 2022 by Atlantic Business Magazine. Trevor was honoured at a Gala Event at the Halifax Convention Centre. This is the second year in a row he has been awarded this recognition.
Trevor joined CMP in 2011 and led the technical sales team for six years before taking an ownership position in the company and becoming President in 2017. FPS Food Process Solutions acquired a majority stake in CMP in 2019. As part of the FPS family, Trevor has overseen the rapid expansion of CMP and the development of End-to-End Solutions for global customers. “I am proud to be honoured alongside this talented group of local business leaders and celebrate this award on behalf of all our talented team at CMP. It has been a challenge to navigate our business through the COVID pandemic, but with hard work and dedication, together we are thriving,” stated Trevor.
Trevor is a people and results-driven sales and engineering executive with a 35-year track record in applying engineered products and services to solve clients’ critical business needs. With Trevor at the helm, CMP has doubled its staff to 150 people over the past five years, tripled its manufacturing space to 100,000 sq ft, and increased revenue 2.5 times.

CMP is already a top employer in PEI, and recent renovations at the main facility in Charlottetown have tripled CMP’s manufacturing space and added additional space at its recently opened engineering office in Moncton, NB.
